About This Game "Rebirth of Island" is a hardcore survival game taking place in a wild, unknown world ruled with its own laws and customs. Your name is Gaius, an astronaut from Earth. The creator\/developer of this game is quick to fix bugs and crashes, and is very helpful.. Depending on what your play style is depends of if you should get this game or not if you like slow pace sand boxes then you may like this game it needs more options like quality bc when it rains the second time you will recieve lag and the game doesen't give much for you to discover I accidentally missed the tutorial and just had to figure out what from there but I would reccomend this game to the select few who are ok with a slow paced sandbox and like to take their time and it is a good price unlike the other sandboxes that cost maybe 30$ minimal with the faults of this game I do think it has a long way to go but is a good start. Initially wouldn't run but after I got the game to start, it was ok. Tutorial wasn't fully flushed out so there were some game mechanics I had to figure out on my own. The UI is weird because sometimes you hover and release to grab an item and other times you click. After about 3 minutes of farming resources my inventory would be full and I couldn't pick up anything even if was an arrow that I just used said resources to make. Since there was no "Inventory capacity %" or weight value attached to the items, I had no idea when it was full or not.Also there was no hot bar to easily switch to frequently used tools (pick axe, hatchet, etc.). That made it harder to go out and farm or build.Overall, I'm glad I bought it on sale for like $2. Wouldn't have wanted to pay anymore for that. Still, there are much better survival\/sandbox games out there.. Good game that will get better with the time.Just think that the game needs:A better optimisation, consumes much memory than a game like it will need.Multiplayer Lan mode.Thats it. Seasons will be different each time!Current Issues:For Keyboard and Mouse players you have to hold "T" to change your tools, we should be able to press 1-2-3-4-5 to change tools quickly.. Great concept, but plays super clunky with incomprehensible UI. I play Dwarf Fortress so I'm used to a lot of complicated UI, but this is worse because the UI simply makes no sense at all and the tutorial takes almost an hour to complete and still doesn't manage to explain it. You must perform all kinds of complex actions like tapping one key, holding an other key, and then using the mouse to select something that pops up in the interface, and then holding down a mouse button for a long time and this is just impossible to memorize. Meanwhile quests tell you to gather resources and craft items, without telling you what to look for or which of the million of crafting prerequisites and menus you need for these.Stay away, and just play Dwarf Fortress for free if you want a complicated sandbox survival game.
